Lovely country walks from the doorstep and in the nearby Clwydian Hills, and there are no fewer than 16 golf courses within a ten mile radius. History lovers and keen shoppers can visit the city of Chester, just 20 minutes’ drive away. With its fascinating Roman remains, shops, restaurants and zoo. There’s a glorious coastline nearby whose river estuaries are a birdwatchers’ delight whilst miles of lovely beaches and a whole host of entertainments are a short drive. The seaside resort of Rhyl with two lively funfairs is 8 miles. The beautiful countryside is dotted with historic small towns like Flint, with its medieval castle, Mold, whose lively street market is famous for fresh, local produce. Shops 2 miles, dining pub 0.75 miles.
